Salt-N-Pepa Recognized For 30-Year Career At ASCAP 7th Annual Women Behind The Music Series, October 28th In NYC

(NEW YORK, NY October 29, 2015) - The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) hosted their 7th Annual “Women Behind The Music” series on Wednesday, October 28th at Subrosa inNew York City. This year’s one-city series, which encourages and recognizes women in the music community, honored the trailblazing and GRAMMY® Award-Wining rap group, Salt-N-Pepa, for their 30-year career and accomplishments within the music business. The evening featured musical sounds by DJ Quiana Parks and a special performance of hit single “Shoop” by Salt-N-Pepa themselves. ASCAP’s EVP Membership John Titta and VP Membership, Rhythm & Soul Nicole George-Middleton were also in attendance and presented Salt-N-Pepa with honorary plaques for their monumental contributions to the music community.
