New York, NY, August 7, 2015: The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) releases the second music video, “Freedom and Confidence,” from ASCAP Songwriter Residency: Volume 7 with VIBE. The song was co-written and performed by Andrea Martin (En Vogue, Leona Lewis) with 16 NYC students of The East Fordham Academy of the Arts. It was written over the course of an afternoon session, and recorded on a second day at Platinum Sound Studios. To view the premiere on, click here

Martin was enthusiastic about the program: “I am a big believer in the power of education, and the creative arts are an integral part of that. I had such a wonderful time writing a song with these students, opening their minds to new possibilities for themselves. I got as much out of it as they did and am grateful for the opportunity.”
