New York, NY, February 19, 2014: ASCAP Vice President of Creative Services, Pop/Rock Marc Emert-Hutner has announced the promotion of Jamie McLaughlin and Evan Trindl to Directors of Creative Services, Pop/Rock. In their new roles, they will help oversee ASCAP’s vast client base, focusing on acquisition and retention of prominent members while discovering and deploying creative solutions that contribute to ASCAP’s strong market share growth. McLaughlin and Trindl are both based in Los Angeles, where they most recently held the title of Associate Director of Creative Services, Pop/Rock. They both report directly to Emert-Hutner.

Commenting on the promotion, Emert-Hutner said: "Evan and Jamie have been instrumental in the continued strength of ASCAP's repertory in Pop and Rock. They discover, encourage and nurture the talents of ASCAP members at all stages of their careers. Both of them have been involved in the successes of a variety of artist development programs at ASCAP including showcases, workshops and mixers. I am very pleased to recognize their significant contributions with these well-deserved promotions."

Jamie McLaughlin joined the Pop/Rock membership team in January 2012. In her short time at ASCAP, McLaughlin has made a mark by affiliating acts like Big Sean, HAIM and The Ceremonies. She continues daily to acquire and develop talent within the Pop/Rock department and throughout the company. Prior to joining ASCAP, Jamie worked at Roc Nation under the guidance of Jay Brown, acting as day to day manager for Brandy Norwood, Melanie Fiona and The Ting Tings. She also assisted in Roc Nation's songwriter-producer management division. Jamie first connected with Jay while working as a promotions assistant at Epic Records in New York. She attended William Patterson University in Wayne, NJ where she studied Music Business.

Born and raised in Chicago, Evan Trindl moved to Los Angeles to launch his career in the music business. During his time at ASCAP, Evan has primarily focused his efforts in programming company showcases, events and awareness initiatives both locally and at Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, CMJ, Noise Pop, ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO, Lollapalooza, Vans Warped Tour and others, in addition to developing songwriter and artist members ranging from emerging talent to Top 40 hitmakers. When not in the office, you can find Evan hanging at any number of the music venues around town, playing basketball, hiking or checking out the new restaurants in his Downtown LA neighborhood. He is a graduate of Miami University where he majored in Finance and Accounting.

In addition to these promotions, Gali Firstenberg has been promoted to Associate Director for the Pop/Rock department. Gali, who graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2011 with a degree in Arts, Entertainment, & Media Management, is based in ASCAP’s Los Angeles office. She previously held the title of Membership Coordinator.
