ASCAP Members Dominate Daytime Emmy Nominations

As has become tradition, ASCAP members dominated the 2014 music nominations for daytime TV’s highest honor. 32 composers and songwriters wrote or music supervised 75% of the songs and scores that were nominated for the 41st Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmys.

Among this year’s crop of ASCAP nominees are Emmy vets Jack Allocco and David Kurtz, who won their eighth and ninth career Emmys in 2013 and are up for another one for their music to The Bold and the Beautiful. We're thrilled that another five ASCAP writers are repeat nominees from last year: Kenneth Corday, Joey Mazzarino, D. Brent Nelson, Luis Santeiro and Adam Schlesinger.

An extra special congrats to nominees Sharon Farber and George Whitty, alumni of ASCAP's TV & Film Scoring Workshop with Richard Bellis. We're so proud to be part of your stories!

This year’s Daytime Creative Arts Emmy gala will be held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel on Friday, June 20th, 2014. A round of applause to all of our nominees:
