Let’s face it. Bonnaroo’s line-up this year is hard to beat. With such massive ASCAP-member headliners like Paul McCartney, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Wilco playing for sold-out audiences, Bonnaroo has yet again proven to be a Mecca for music lovers of all walks of life. If you are one of those bandana-sporting enthusiasts caught in the maelstrom of music that is happening this weekend, make sure to support some of the Nashville natives that are included in this year’s line-up.
JEFF the Brotherhood
This two-piece band consisting of brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall have been rocking out for more than a decade under the watchful eye of their father and acclaimed ASCAP songwriter Robert Ellis Orrall. Their first studio album with Warner Bros., entitled Hypnotic Nights, came out last year, produced by The Black Keys’ lead man Dan Auerbach. With powerful singles like “Leave Me Out”, “Six Pack” and “Dark Energy”, They’ve been spreading their gospel of pounding, psychedelic garage rock ever since.

You may have heard him as the lead singer and guitarist for the Grammy-nominated bluegrass band The Steeldrivers, but if you haven’t, you’re almost guaranteed to have heard him elsewhere. With his songs being performed by such names as Adele, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley, and four number ones under his belt, Chris Stapleton has become a powerful entity in the Nashville songwriting community. All of Music Row is anxiously awaiting his first single “What Are You Listening To?,” scheduled for release on July 1st.
Chris Stapleton will perform at the New Music On Tap Lounge on Saturday, June 15th. www.chrisstapleton.com
Originally from LA, this duo consisting of Amanda Sudano and Abner Ramirez play an eclectic array of songs that have been hailed by The Tennessean as “a mix of Lauryn Hill and John Mayer.”

“6 members, 6 beards, 3 horns, 1 lady. Get into it.” This band’s Facebook description says it all. Since the January release of their Bless Her Heart EP, Alanna Royale has been rocking the Nashville music scene with songs drenched in dirty pop and raunchy soul.
