On May 14th, 2012, ASCAP welcomed songwriter-artist Jerrod Niemann to the family, when he stopped by the Nashville office to join ASCAP as a writer member. The Sea Gayle Records/Arista Nashville singer-songwriter recently released the lead single to his sophomore album, “Shinin’ On Me,” to all digital providers, and the song was also officially added to the Billboard and Country Aircheck charts with a combined 44 reporting stations playing it.

Niemann’s major label debut album, the audacious, groundbreaking Judge Jerrod & The Hung Jury, debuted at No. 1 and produced the No. 1 smash and RIAA-certified Platinum Digital single, “Lover, Lover,” and the Top Five and RIAA-certified Gold Digital single, “What Do You Want.” Fans can expect a new music video for “Shinin’ On Me” to debut this summer, featuring cameo appearances from some of the singer's friends and band members. Niemann is currently on the road performing as part of Miranda Lambert’s “On Fire” tour.
