COMMISSIONED

Jenny Brandon by the Sister Singers Network to write the festival choral piece for the 2010 Choral Festival in Chicago. In addition Brandon’s Spider Suite, has been commissioned for the California Association of Professional Music Teachers 2010 State Convention.

Sy Brandon by the Arizona Commission on the Arts to compose the band composition celebrating the Centennial of Arizona’s statehood during 2012.

Mark Daniel Merritt to compose “O God, You Have Been Good To Us” for the 25 th Anniversary of Heritage United Methodist Church in Lynchburg, VA. Merritt was also commissioned to compose “The Arrow And The Song” for the 8 th Grade Chorus of Gentry Middle School in Mount Airy, NC. Two of his pieces were recently performed by choral ensemble VOCE of which Merritt is Composer-in-Residence.

Nico Muhly to create a work about a fictionalized account of a British teenager who used the Internet in an attempt to arrange his own murder.
