Paradox Paradise is a Berlin based film music collective whose sound ranges from indie tunes to experimental to orchestral. Always seeking original sounds and refusing preset sound libraries they aim to create an individual musical universe for each new project, combining different musical genres and cultures. Their trademark sound emerged with the films of Swiss director Nicolas Steiner, for whose critically acclaimed documentary Above and Below they developed a blend of desert blues and Boards of Canada inspired electronica. The recently scored House Without Roof which won Special Grand Prix of the Jury at Montreal World Film Festival and the documentary Pre-Crime, which was screened at Hot Docs this year. They have won multiple awards including the German Documentary Music Award 2015, and Best Song at the German Film Music Awards 2014. They have worked with Film Orchestra Babelsberg, Irmin Schmidt (of Can) Till Brönner, Louisiana Red, Curtis Stigers, Nils Landgren and Klaus Doldinger.
