ASCAP Country Hitmakers Win Big at 56th Annual ACM Awards

April 19, 2021

Carly Pearce and Chris Stapleton lead the ASCAP ACM Awards winners with two awards each. Pearce took home both Single of the Year and Music Event of the Year for her smash hit “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” co-written with fellow ASCAP writer Jonathan Singleton. For the third time in his career, Stapleton was awarded Album of the Year, as both artist and producer, in honor of his chart-topping album Starting Over.

Old Dominion was honored as Group of the Year for the fourth straight year, while Dan + Shay received Duo of the Year for the third consecutive year. ASCAP songwriter Jimmy Robbins added ACM Song of the Year to his growing collection of awards for Maren Morris’s hit song “The Bones.”
