ASCAP Creators Win Both Music Categories at the Golden Globe Awards

March 1, 2021

The Globes must go on! The 78th Golden Globes Awards aired on NBC on February 28 –  while there were the classic superstars and celebrities in couture, there were also a lot of Zoom breakout rooms, pajamas and pets as winners accepted their awards from home. But the show went on, and ASCAP members won big! Jon Batiste and Trent Reznor won for their stunning score for Soul. And the decorated Diane Warren, along with Italian superstar Laura Pausini and Niccolò Agliardi won for their collaboration "Io Sì (Seen)" from the moving The Life Ahead.

It was the second Golden Globe for both Reznor and Warren – on the 10 year anniversary of their first! The two snagged statues on the same night once before, in 2011 when Warren won for "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" from Burlesque and Reznor triumphed with The Social Network.

Congrats to all of our winners!
