Global ASCAP Family Clinches 21 Primetime Emmy Nominations

July 29, 2020

It’s a big day for ASCAP’s small screen talent! The National Television Academy of Arts and Sciences has recognized 19 of our composers, songwriters and music supervisors with a total of 21 nominations for the 2020 Primetime Creative Arts Emmys. This year’s crop of nominees is a diverse mix of first-time nominees doing incredible work and Emmy veterans still at the top of their game.

Big congrats to Nine Inch Nails frontman (and ASCAP Golden Note Award winner) Trent Reznor, who clinched two nods for his brooding music for Watchmen, and also Antonio Gambale, for his double nomination for the haunting theme and score to Unorthodox.

Congrats to all of our nominated composers and songwriters, and to all of our nominated music supervisor friends for their stellar creative work. The countdown is on to the Creative Arts ceremony on September 12 and 13!
