Four ASCAP Members Win 2020 Daytime Emmys
July 28, 2020
On July 26, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the final group of winners for the 2020 Daytime Creative Arts Emmys. Four ASCAP members have made the cut!
ASCAP composers Ken Corday & D. Brent Nelson - both veteran Emmy winners - took home their ninth and fifth trophies, respectively, for their work on Days of Our Lives. Seinfeld star Jason Alexander won his first Emmy for co-writing “The Bad Guys” from Brainwashed by Toons, which tells the history of how cartoons have been used to perpetuate stereotypes about Jews.
We’re also thrilled to see Glenn Slater, a graduate of The ASCAP Foundation Musical Theatre Workshops Led by Stephen Schwartz, earning his first Emmy for his moving lyrics for Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure!
