21 ASCAP Members Shortlisted for 2020 Daytime Emmys
June 10, 2020
What would we do without TV right now? And what would TV do without music creators? The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has recognized 21 ASCAP composers and songwriters with nominations in the 47th annual Daytime Emmy nominations, for their roles in heightening the impact of daytime TV’s most popular programming.
Among the nominees is Wesley Whatley, who earned two nominations for his songs for the 93rd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. We’re also proud to see ASCAP Foundation Musical Theatre Workshop alumni Michael Kooman & Christopher Dimond on the list for their work on Vampirina (read more about it in our 2017 interview).
The 47th annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony will be presented in a two-hour special on Friday, June 26 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.
