The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has nominated eight ASCAP all-stars for the film industry’s most prestigious honor: the 2019 Academy Awards. Our global family of film music mavens created six of the scores and songs nominated across the Oscars’ two music categories, including a nod in both categories for ASCAP Henry Mancini Award winner Marc Shaiman’s sterling music for Mary Poppins Returns.
An extra tip of the hat to Nicholas Britell (an alumnus of the ASCAP/Columbia Film Scoring Workshop) and also to ASCAP Founders Award honoree Diane Warren for achieving her milestone tenth Oscar nomination!
Congratulations to all of our nominees - we’ll be cheering for you on February 24.
