ASCAP’s UK Family Dominates the 2018 Ivor Novello Awards

June 12, 2018

BASCA and PRS for Music honored 16 members of ASCAP’s UK family at the 63rd Ivor Novello Awards, presented on May 31st the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.

British and Irish music creators that we license clinched six competitive categories, plus five special honors. Presented and judged by music creators, the Ivors represent the pinnacle of musical achievement and peer recognition.

Among the big winners were Steve Mac, who received the ASCAP Founders Award in 2017, and was named ASCAP Pop Songwriter of the Year at this year’s ASCAP Pop Music Awards; and Lionel Richie (the sole non-British winner), a past recipient of the ASCAP Golden Note Award.

Congratulations to all of our winners!
