Shenandoah Conservatory Students Welcomed by ASCAP's Concert Music Department

March 12, 2018

"NEW MUSIC IN NEW YORK" a tall order undertaken by this sharp and distinguished group of undergraduate and graduate music students from the Shenandoah Conservatory, in town last week from Winchester, Virginia. Headed up by Jonathan Newman, Director of Composition and Coordinator of New Music, together with Distinguished Guest Composer and Senior Lecturer, New Music, David T. Little, all were cheerfully greeted by ASCAP's Cia Toscanini and Michael Spudic. Not only were we grateful at ASCAP to be included as part of the itinerary of Shenandoah Conservatory's wide and multi-faceted New Music discovery tour, but just as much thankful for this golden opportunity to treat these career-minded music students to some important nuts and bolts information, especially relevant to their future destinies as professional composers.
