ASCAP Members Earn 79 Spots on NPR’s “150 Greatest Albums Made by Women” List

NPR’s Turning the Tables: The 150 Greatest Albums Made By Women list is an important reminder that female music creators are vital - central, really - to any appreciation of the history of recorded music. ASCAP couldn’t be prouder to represent 79 of the strong female voices that make up this canon of indisputably great music.

Of course, the importance of women to music extends far beyond the artists who record it. That is why ASCAP will never stop celebrating and supporting the women at the heart of our community, from the songwriters and composers that craft the world’s best-loved music, to the executives (including our own staff) that help bring it to fans worldwide.

Congratulations to all the brilliant ASCAP members who made NPR’s list. Check out our playlist of (nearly) every ASCAP album on the list - we’ve all got some listening to do!
