ASCAP Celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

May 1, 2021

Since the first major wave of Asian immigration in the mid-1800s, Asians and Pacific Islanders have made incalculable contributions to every part of American culture – from food to science, filmmaking to religion, education to politics – and of course, every corner of the music world.

This AAPI Heritage Month, we’re paying tribute to the Asians and Pacific Islanders who continue to enrich the ASCAP repertory and shape the sound of American music.
