Composer Spotlight: Daniel Farrell


Daniel Farrell (b. 1996) is a composer, arranger, and conductor working in New York, NY. Daniel is a Master’s of Music in Screen Scoring candidate at the prestigious New York University Steinhardt program. Daniel earned his Bachelor’s of Music in Music Composition and Theory at Jacksonville University (’18). Daniel has worked on several award-winning films including Paternitas (dir. Daney Kang), Eight Hundred (dir. Emerson Duggan), and A Happy Smile (dir. Patrick Farrell & Michael Csorba), among others. He is currently completing the feature film Fade In with director Jaiden Thompson. His film work has been screened at festivals around the United States including notable festivals in Los Angeles and New York. Daniel enjoys working as a part of a team to tell stories infrequently shared or marginalized and believes that film holds an important social responsibility to elevate voices who are normally silenced. He explores many of these issues and more in his music podcast The Score Keepers. Daniel enjoys watching movies with friends, exploring NYC’s vegan restaurants, and finishing a day with a warm cup of tea and a good book.
