Andrew Orkin is a composer for film, video games and virtual reality installations based in Brooklyn, New York. He began his career as a guitarist and delved into electronic production as a teenager, producing and playing in bands in his hometown, Johannesburg, South Africa. His music embodies a synergy of the electronic and more traditional, acoustic, musical worlds, a combination that originates from Andrew's lifelong obsession with experimental production techniques, as well as a formal education as a Fulbright Scholar at NYU's Steinhardt School, where Andrew received his MMus in 2014. His recent work includes the Off Broadway play Mies Julie, Sink, Sank, Sunk (Revry Original Series) starring Laura Linney, Dead Pigs (Sundance 2018), Lucky Grandma (TriBeCa 2019) and upcoming features Down a Dark Stairwell (PBS) and Before You See the Light.
