Sundance 2020 Composer Spotlight: Anne Nikitin


Film: Lost Girls

Anne Nikitin is an Ivor Novello nominated composer best known for her collaborations with director Bart Layton on his BAFTA-winning film The Imposter and critically acclaimed heist movie American Animals, both which premiered at Sundance.

Recent works include Four Kids and It, a family fantasy movie starring Michael Caine, Russell Brand and Paula Patton to be released Easter 2020; The Pale Horse, an Agatha Christie series for BBC/Amazon starring Rufus Sewell and Kaya Scodelario; Stardust, a movie about David Bowie’s early life starring Johnny Flynn; and Untouchable: The Rise and Fall of Harvey Weinstein, which premiered at Sundance 2019 and was nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award. Anne was named ‘2018 Composer to Watch’ on Classic FM’s Saturday Night at the Movies.

Lost Girls is directed by Academy Award nominee Liz Garbus, starring Amy Ryan, Gabriel Byrne and Dean Winters, and was recorded with the London Contemporary Orchestra.
