Carlton Anderson, a native of Cypress, Texas, drew early inspiration from a long line of musical mavericks. He cut his teeth playing dancehalls and he eventually moved to Nashville to attend college and follow his dream. He quickly found work in one of the honky-tonks on Broadway and it wasn’t long before the industry took notice. He signed a publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music and began writing with some of the most sought-after songwriters in Nashville gaining a reputation for his steadfast belief in authenticity before trends.
