Jay Wadley is a contemporary film composer best known for his original score for James Schamus' critically acclaimed directorial debut, Indignation (Lionsgate). Featured in IndieWire's "10 Best Scores of 2016", David Ehrlich said “Jay Wadley may be the most exciting ‘new’ composer to enter the fray in 2016.” His recent projects have included Rhys Ernst's directorial debut Adam (Sundance 2019), The OA (Netflix/Plan-B), Andrew Ahn’s Driveways, Emmy nominated Raised in the System (VICE/HBO Season 6 Premiere), Anu Valia's Sundance winning short Lucia Before & After, Jacob LaMendola's Emmy nominated Longshot (Netflix), and upcoming Tales of the City (Netflix/Universal) starring Laura Linney, Olympia Dukakis and Ellen Page. A classically trained composer, Jay has received two Charles Ive’s awards from the Academy of Arts and Letters and has been commissioned by Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble ACJW and The Nouveau Classical Project, among others. His films have played at Sundance, Telluride, SXSW, Berlin, Rotterdam, Tribeca, BFI London, LA Film Festival and more.
