Biography
Andreas Mattsson grew up playing in bands. The first successful one was Popsicle in the mid 90’s. After four Popsicle albums and a couple of other records with other bands he started to focus on songwriting in the early 00’s. Since then he’s had songs on loads of Swedish albums, occassionally also producing them. He has released three solo albums to sometimes great acclaim. The latest, “Solnedgången” (“The Sunset”), in 2016 was named album of the year by one or two critics and some fans.
Since 2001 Andreas has also written music for film and tv. In the beginning together with Niclas Frisk, but since 2012 all by himself. The most successful so far being Don’t Ever Wipe Tears Without Gloves, a three-part AIDS drama produced by SVT (the Swedish public service television company).
