Biography

Currently scoring Amazon Studios’ upcoming feature Troupe Zero, starring Academy Award® winners Viola Davis and Allison Janney, Rob Lord is fast becoming one of the UK’s most sought-after composers and songwriters working in film, television and advertising.

His work, known for its combination of unusual and experimental instrumentation and sound with strong melodic hooks, has featured most recently in his scores for the Bert & Bertie directed film Dance Camp, the Netflix feature-doc I Am Duran, starring Robert De Niro, and the UK horror feature Writer’s Retreatfor Moli Films. Other credits include the BAFTAand RTSawardnominated feature documentary The Girl Who Talked To Dolphinsfor the BBC, and the multi award winning six part US Sci-Fi drama RCVR, directed by David van Eyssen. Rob has also made a name for himself in animation, scoring the 52-part CBBC animated series Dennis and Gnasher: Unleashed! and the 52-part US series Little Peoplefor HIT Entertainment.

Rob has produced remixes for Catatonia, Shriekback, The French and Ant. He has released his own Krautrock influenced music under the name Ausgang as well as having appeared on two Mute Records produced collections of Electronica and under the name Machines featured on the album The Trip compiled by Snow Patrol.
