Daniel Corral is a composer from Eagle River, Alaska, now in Los Angeles. His music has been commissioned and presented by venues and presenters around the world, including Walt Disney Concert Hall, Beth Morrison Projects, BAM, REDCAT, Miami Light Project, Operadagen Rotterdam, Iceland University of the Arts, and the Göteborg Art Sound Festival. Corral has collaborated with artists such as Anne LeBaron, Vicki Ray, Charles Gaines, Stephen Prina, Wild Up, Isaura String Quartet, Formalist String Quartet, Opera Povera, Dog Star Orchestra, Boston Microtonal Society, Slatür, The Industry LA, California EAR Unit, and Sojourn Theatre. Residencies include Djerassi, the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, I-Park Foundation, Marin Headlands Center for the Arts, and APPEX. His music has been released by Populist Records, Orenda Records, Innova Recordings, the wulf. records, and independently. Corral is currently on the composition faculty at Calarts, and his teachers include James Tenney and Anne LeBaron.
