Q. Where or when do you feel most authentically yourself?
A. I feel the most authentic when Im with my family and friends, they seem me for me and give love unconditionally. The 2nd place would have to be the studio… I feel I can let it all out with no judgement.
Q. How does creating music fit into your identity?
A. My identity is very out there. What you see is what you get and then some. Thats why whenIm creating music you’ll hear elements from all genres mixed in there.
Q. What would be the elements of your fantasy pride parade/ celebration? The sky is the limit, NO RULES.
A. Oh, this is a tough one… my fantasy Pride would have to have performances from the Spice Girls, Lady Gaga, Lizzo, Beyonce, and Adele slaying the stage, styled by Billy Porter. The icing on the cake would be them finishing the show singing a new age rendition of Lady Marmalade.
Q. What is your wish for the next generation of queer creators?
A. Be you, stay fearless and never give in to the image another has for you. Always keep it moving, yah beauts.
Q. What’s been your proudest moment so far?
A. My proudest moment so far would have to be performing for Barack Obama… meeting him in a full face of make up with my Jackie O’esqe dress on… and then doing an impression of him in front of him and him saying “Pretty Good.” I practically died.
