2019 ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop: Sarah Lynch
Sarah Lynch has scored soundtracks across a wide range of genres including film, TV, animation and games.
Currently, Sarah is scoring the soundtrack to the documentary Unspoken, executive produced by Academy Award-nominated Vera Farmiga and producer Renn Hawk, due for release in the coming months.
A highly experienced games composer, she is chief in-house composer for Warducks VR and AR studio and has provided the soundtrack for over six best-selling titles across mobile, desktop and console platforms. Other film/TV work includes the soundtrack to two 51-minute creative documentary episodes as part of the Aerial Britain series, produced by Tile Films for the Smithsonian Channel.
Her animation credits include providing additional music on 52 11-minute episodes of Lucky Fred 2 (Imira Entertainment / Telegael / Toonz Entertainment / Televisió de Catalunya / Aeon Entertainment) for International broadcast. She is also working on the forthcoming animation series, Tot Cop, produced by Mooshku for Nickelodeon Jnr UK and Ireland.
As a touring/session violinist, Sarah has, over the years, performed live and/or recorded with an impressive range of artists including Hozier (performing tracks on his Billboard #1 album, Wasteland Baby), Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Mumford and Sons and Ed Sheeran. In 2016, Sarah received her Master's Degree in Scoring for Film and Visual Media at Pulse College, Dublin. She also holds a second MA degree from the Liszt Academy of Music, Hungary, and completed her Undergraduate Music degree at Trinity College, Dublin. Sarah is no stranger to the orchestra and was a student (violinist and pianist) of the Royal Irish Academy of Music for 10 years in her formative years.
