Giorgio Giampà is an award-winning film music composer from Italy who scored films, TV series and documentaries in Mexico, Sweden, Italy, Russia, Canada, France, Germany, the Emirates Arab United, Austria and the U.K.
These films were presented at A-List festivals such as Sundance, Toronto, Venice, Berlinale, Locarno, San Sebastian and Busan.
Giorgio was nominated at the Italian Golden Globes and at the Italian Golden Ciaks while he won, among other prizes, the Best Score Award at the 27th Kinotavr Open Russia Film Festival.
Formerly an indie rock drummer and guitarist who played more than two hundred shows around Europe, North America and Japan, Giorgio studied classical composition and started scoring for films.
Fascinated by working and collaborating abroad, Giorgio recently co-scored a feature film with singer-cellist Gyda Valtysdottir (Mùm) and recorded with the London based Iskra String Quartet (The XX, Radiohead, Olafur Arnalds).
