Mitchell Tanner

Mitchell Tanner is a London-based composer and orchestrator who recently graduated with a Master's degree in Composition from the Royal College of Music. There he studied on a full scholarship, having been awarded the John Barry Scholarship in Film Composition by Laurie Barry, for which he received a letter of support from the late Sir George Martin. At the end of his degree he achieved a distinction and was awarded the Joseph Horovitz Prize for Composition for Screen.

Since then he has worked in various freelance guises, composing for short films and commercials. He has written concert work for BBC Radio and the RCM Film Orchestra, and his music, often conducted by himself, has been performed by live ensembles.
