Kyle Laporte


Originally from Southeast Michigan, Kyle is a composer for film, video games and other media based in Los Angeles, California.

Kyle holds an undergraduate degree in music composition from Bowling Green State University and recently received a Master's degree in Screen Scoring from the University of Southern California.

While attending Bowling Green State University, Kyle studied guitar while playing in small combos and ensembles. Kyle also plays French horn, flute and keyboard which he frequently incorporates into his scores.

Since graduating from the scoring program at USC, Kyle has been working as a full time assistant for Laura Karpman as well as writing for several USC graduate thesis games, shorts and films.

In addition to composing, some of Kyle’s interests include snowboarding, traveling and ramen noodles.
