Akos Lustyik


Akos is a classically trained composer and conductor from Budapest, Hungary, residing and working in London, UK. He completed his studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music (Budapest) and at the Royal College of Music (London), graduating from a Master’s course in film composition.

Already during his Academy years, he worked in Hungarian theatre, composing, orchestrating and conducting in several Budapest theatres and the National Opera; his chamber music pieces were performed throughout Europe.

Akos has scored many short films by directors of his generation in Hungary and in the UK. He was a finalist in numerous competitions, including 2nd prize at Transatlantyk Film Festival and was the music editor of 2017 Academy Award winning short film Sing.
