Davide Tammaro


Davide Tammaro is a Guitarist and Composer from Naples, Italy. Davide started studying the guitar at the age of twelve and few years later, after dedicating himself to the instrument, he decided to devote his life to Music and further expand his abilities.

Mentored by Maestro Raimondo Di Sandro, in 2007, Davide earned a Degree (Summa cum laude) in Classical Guitar at the “San Pietro A Majella Music Conservatory” in Naples, Italy.

Aside from studying the genre, he also started playing other styles in several bands performing in various theaters and festivals. In the summer of 2008, upon receiving a scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College Of Music in Boston, Davide moved to the US. In this rich musical environment, Davide has had the chance to study with noteworthy musicians and teachers like Hal Crook, Mick Goodrick, Tim Miller, Jeff Galindo, Ed Tomassi , Rick Peckham to name just a few. During his stay at the College Davide has had the chance to perform with various international artists, as well as the American based artists and become one of the studio musician for the Film Scoring Department, as well as the accompanist guitar player for the Berklee Percussion Festival.

In 2011 after earning a Diploma in Performance (Summa cum laude) and continually trying to improve as an artist, Davide moved to NYC where he started performing as freelance guitarist for numerous artists. Composition and orchestration have always been great passions for Davide as well as Music applied to images so in 2014 Davide decided to start composing daily and dedicate himself deeply to this art form. Upon receiving another scholarship Davide completed his studies in orchestration and composition for films and TV at Berklee College Of Music Online extension and he also completed the Symphonic Virtual Orchestration course created by composer Marc Jovani, focusing on the creation of professional sounding Orchestral Mockups.

Also, in 2017 Davide has been selected for the Society Of Composer And Lyricist Mentor Program in NY, a competitive program where industry professionals mentor a small group of selected upcoming composers. Some of the mentors included Chris Hajian, Greg Pliska and Mark Roos. Currently residing in NYC Davide works as freelance composer writing media related Music for various Music libraries/Trailer companies such as the Los Angeles based Green Velvet Music and Spider Cues among others.

Mentored by Maestro Justin Dello Joio, internationally acclaimed composer and Julliard/ NYU Professor Davide is also writing concert music and just completed his first string quartet which will very soon be recorded by some of the finest players in NY.

As guitarist he has recorded and performed with numerous artists in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Abu Dhabi and in Italy.

Some festivals and media performances as guitarist include: SXSW in Austin TX, MTV west coast, Radio KIIS, Bite Size TV and radio Disney in Los Angeles CA, Folk Festival, Beantown jazz festival and Percussion festival in Boston MA, North Beach Bandshell in Miami, FL. In 2015 Davide released “Ghosts”, an album including 9 original compositions in the style of Jazz/funk featuring some of the best musicians from the contemporary NY music scene.
