Composer Matteo Neri (b. 1989) has a versatile musical background, with experience in film scoring, orchestral music, chamber music, as well as opera. He received his Masters in Scoring for Film/TV/Video Games from Berklee College of Music in 2014, his Bachelor of Music in Theory/Composition from Westminster Choir College of Rider University in 2013, and was a participant in the ASCAP/NYU Film Scoring workshop in 2013.
Matteo is currently a composer at Comma Music, a leading music house for commercials, tv, and film. His music can be heard in commercials and promos for brands such as McDonalds, Breathe Right Nasal Strips, Jim Beam, Russell, as well as for institutions such as NYU. He worked inLos Angeles for Emmy Award winning composer Alex Wurman on a number of films and TV shows, including the Amazon series The Patriot. He is also the orchestrator for "FORTE," a classical crossover tenor group that was a finalist on "America's Got Talent.”
Matteo’s film credits include How It Is, Table for Two, and The Kicking Yoda, which received the award for Best Documentary Short at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Currently, Matteo is composing a new opera titled "Escobar," chronicling the search for Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, that will be completed in 2018. The opera was recently selected to be part of the Frontiers showcase at Fort Worth Opera in May 2017.
