Michael Gayle

Some of the world’s most intriguing, gifted and famous musicians hail from Germany, such as Bach, Beethoven, Wagner and Michael S. Gayle. Michael, a native of Stuttgart, Germany raised in the United States, is a multi-talented musician and Composer with a background in Caribbean, Jazz, Gospel, Contemporary Christian and Classical music. He is a proficient Singer, Songwriter, Producer and Film Composer with excellent skills in various instruments including the saxophone & piano. At the tender age of four, Michael started playing the melodica without formal training. By age eleven he learned the saxophone and played extensively at school and community functions. Michael was so committed to broadening his musical knowledge, that he attended Adelphi University College of Arts and Sciences, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Music. He majored in Music performance with a concentration in Music Composition. He now attends New York University, Steinhardt School of Music, where he will obtain his Masters of Music Degree in Film Scoring and Multimedia, in spring of 2018.

Michael served as Music and Fine Arts Director at Providence Assembly of God. He was also the collaborator for community programming at the Black Respiratory Theater, Artist Educator for the Rhode Island Philharmonic School of Music, Musical Director/Minister of music for several churches and has given instrumental and vocal training at various inner City locations such as Nathan Bishop Middle School, Boys & Girls HS, Blackstone Academy HS and the Bradley Hospital for Children with occupational disorders.

Michael’s enthusiasm for music didn’t just stop at learning, playing and teaching. His love for it allowed him to grow into a proficient Artist. He composed and arranged his own music as well as collaborated with aspiring writers and musicians. Michael is Founder and CEO of Michael S. Gayle Media Inc. a production company that provides a variety of entertainment services under one umbrella. He is also an Adjunct Professor at St. Johns University. Michael Gayle is a force to be reckoned with in today’s music. He credits his musical inspiration to Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Dave Koz and David Sanborn, who happens to be a personal friend. Michael's music is reminiscent of the classic musical structure found in songs of the ‘80s with a Caribbean and Jazz-infused style. Michael’s profound love for music is evident in each note he plays. His dedication to sharing this love with one and all will ensure his musical longevity in an otherwise short-lived industry. You can find Michael playing the saxophone, organ or keyboard on the weekends at Ebenezer SDA and The Greater Allen Cathedral.
