ROONEY is a five-piece alternative rock band from Los Angeles. Founded by singer-songwriter Robert Schwartzman in 1999, the band later signed to Geffen/Interscope Records and EMI Publishing, where it released multiple records, earning platinum-selling status. ROONEY has multiple radio hits, including “Blueside,” “I’m Shakin,” “I Can’t Get Enough” and a #1 hit with “When Did Your Heart Go Missing?” After taking a hiatus in 2011, Schwartzman wrote and directed his first feature film, DREAMLAND, which made its debut at Tribeca Film Festival 2016, receiving critical praise and theatrical distribution. Schwartzman also wrote original score (soundtrack available on Milan Records) and an original song with ROONEY, “Sad But True,” which is currently making an Oscar push. ROONEY released a new LP, Washed Away, in May 2016, and the band has been back performing, making their TV debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers and The Today Show, as well as touring around the country.
