Kevin Lax

Sundance Film: Burning Sands

Originally from the Pacific Northwest and now residing in Los Angeles, Kevin Lax is a rapidly emerging composer known for his compelling, versatile, and skillfully written music. Kevin attended USC for both undergraduate and graduate studies, where he was the recipient of many awards and grants. He has also had the opportunity to work as a composer, conductor and instrumentalist with industry notables such as James Newton Howard, Bill Conti, Snuffy Walden, and Michael Giacchino. Some other highlights of his career include composing Star Wars inspired music for LucasArts with the LSO at Abbey Road, traveling to Virginia to work with the cast and crew on the set music for Burning Sands, and writing music for the Walking Dead video game series. Outside of music, Kevin enjoys the great outdoors, teaching, and travel. He is also a graduate of the ASCAP film scoring workshop.
