Alec Hall (b. 1985, Toronto, Canada) is a composer, scholar and cross-disciplinary artist whose works are frequently performed across the United States, Canada and Europe. He has had notable premieres with the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the JACK Quartet, Talea, ICE and the Ensemble SurPlus, among others. Hall’s teachers include George Lewis, Tristan Murail, Philippe Manoury and Fred Lerdahl. He currently lives in New York City where he co- directs Qubit New Music.
