Mike Murray is an British composer and musician residing in Kings Cross, London.

Murray started his career fronting bands and playing guitar on the Reading and London circuit, covering genres from rock, punk, grunge, folk and new wave and was a founding member of alternative rock band Wire Jesus from 1998 – 2007. They toured the UK, supporting bands such as The Raveonnettes, Cage The Elephant and Gallon Drunk and performed in prestigious venues such as Nottingham Royal Concert Hall and the Shepherds Bush Empire.

Since 2009 Murray has sessioned for many London based singer songwriters and bands and in 2010 joined composer and songwriter James Ewers and his band My Luminaries on a UK tour culminating in an opening performance at the 2010 Glastonbury Music Festival. In 2011, Murray played guitar on Ewers's solo project, Lonesound.

Their first film soundtrack collaboration resulted in a song and behind the scenes documentary music for feature film HONEYMOONER, which premiered at the 2010 Edinburgh Film Festival and was released in 2011 through Soda Pictures. Together they soundtracked NOTES ON BLINDNESS: RAINFALL, which won the Best Short Film Award at Hot Docs 2013 and was nominated for the ICA Experimental Film
