Composer: Little Accidents


Brazilian-born Marcelo Zarvos burst onto the indie film landscape in 2001 with his score for KISSING JESSICA STEIN and in 2004 with the film adaptation of the John Irving novel, THE DOOR IN THE FLOOR.

Zarvos was named one of the 25 New Faces of Indie Film in 2004 by FilmMaker Magazine. His film credits include ENOUGH SAID, THE DOOR IN THE FLOOR, THE GOOD SHEPHERD, THE WORDS, BROOKLYN’S FINEST, SIN NOMBRE, THE BAY, WON’T BACK DOWN, and HOLLYWOODLAND. Zarvos has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards (for YOU DON’T KNOW JACK and TAKING CHANCE) and an HMMA nominations for ENOUGH SAID and BROOKLYN’S FINEST. His television work includes the hit Showtime series THE BIG C and RAY DONOVAN.

Zarvos’ upcoming projects include THE FACE OF LOVE (Robin Williams, Ed Harris, Annette Bening) and the Brazilian film REACHING FOR THE MOON directed by Bruno Barreto.

In addition to his film work, Zarvos released three critically acclaimed albums for MA Recordings, DUALISM, MUSIC JOURNALand LABYRINTHS. Other works include dance scores for Pilobolus, DanceBrazil, Cleo Parker Robinson, ODC Dance, and chamber music for Ethel and Quintet of the Americas. Zarvos has received grants from Meet the Composer, New York State Council for the Arts and The National Endowment for. His “Cirque Musica Suite” was premiered in 2011 by the San Diego Symphony.
