Bio:
In his hometown of Toronto, Canada, Rob Teehan is well-known as an adventurous “musician without borders”. His broad experience includes years of touring Canada and Eastern Europe as the sousaphone (marching-band tuba) player with the 15-piece urban folk revolutionaries Lemon Bucket Orkestra, as well as being the youngest composer nominated for a JUNO award (Canada’s Grammy equivalent) in the history of the category “Classical Composition of the Year”. Rob’s debut instrumental album "Come Home" (2015) is a colourful mix of classical, jazz, folk and world music. Recent film scoring projects include feature documentaries “The Babushkas of Chernobyl” (USA), “This is Gay Propaganda” (Canada), the short documentaries “Flor de la Mar” (Canada/Venezuala), and “The Sugar Bowl” (Canada), and the animated short “Life as a Coin” (Italy/Croatia). In 2014 he was selected for the highly-competitive Slaight Music Residency at the Canadian Film Centre in Toronto.
