Lauren Buchter

Lauren Buchter is a graduate of the Film Scoring Program at Berklee College of Music, where she received a Bachelor of Music while on scholarship. Her fluency in different styles has allowed her to compose for a variety of media including film, television, dance as well as concert works. She has composed new works for such ensembles as New York Youth Symphony, Kalistos Chamber Orchestra, Musica Bella Orchestra of New York, Symphony Singers, Esterhazy Quartet, pianist Kimball Gallagher, cellist Marta Bedkowska and students of The Juilliard School. Most Recently, Lauren composed an original score for "Above The Sea" by Writer/Director Keola Racela. "Above The Sea" has gone on to receive six awards including official Jury Selection at the Columbia University Film Festival as well as awards for Outstanding Cinematography, Best Director, Best Producer and a coveted Audience Favorite Award.
