Leah Palmer

Why should you attend the ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO? Your career could take an unexpected turn, just like it did for Dallas-based singer-songwriter Leah Palmer.  Watch the video to hear her incredible story, listen to a preview of a beautiful new song and learn why the EXPO is so valuable for serious music creators.

How does a young singer-songwriter from Dallas end up signing a recording deal with an award-winning hit songwriter/producer from Norway? The ASCAP "I Create Music" EXPO, that's how. Leah Palmer flew from Dallas to the ASCAP EXPO a few years ago specifically to listen to and connect with hit-making songwriter/producer and panelist William Larsen (Nico and Vinz's "Am I Wrong"). She networked and shared her music with him and his manager, Julian Alexander. Now she has a recording deal and is working with William and Julian on her debut as an artist. And she's a panelist herself this year and will share her experience and advice on the EXPO Freshman Orientation panel on Thursday morning, April 13th. Hear Leah's inspiring ASCAP EXPO story and get a preview listen of one of her beautiful forthcoming songs in this exclusive video.
