I'm a Fire
Nail explains how this album came together in the middle of great personal change.

MCA Nashville recording artist David Nail's third album, I'm a Fire, is an upbeat departure from the Grammy-nominated country songwriter-artist's past albums, that saw songs of heartbreak emerge as chart-topping hits. A result of finding himself in one of the best places in his life, both artistically and personally, Nail went into the studio to record an album full of lighter songs that he genuinely enjoyed singing. The end result is a positive, lighthearted version of Nail that rarely appeared in earlier recordings. I’m a Fire boasts 11 tracks, including the #1 hit single "Whatever She's Got;" “When They’re Gone (Lyle County),” which features harmonies by past tour mates Little Big Town; “Kiss You Tonight,” a song that expresses the strong emotion that we all feel at some point in our lives for another; the steamy “Burnin’ Bed;” and one of the most special moments on the album, a cover of Glen Campbell’s “Galveston,” which Nail turns into a duet with in one of country music’s best singers, fellow ASCAP member Lee Ann Womack. Backed by a notable roster of talented musicians and co-produced by Nail with superstar Nashville producers Frank Liddell, Chuck Ainlay and Glenn Worf, I'm a Fire is set for release on March 4th; preview it now in this ASCAP Audio Portrait.
