K'Naan's Country, God or the Girl

Somalia native K'Naan made a global impact on music with his inspiring and uplifting single, "Wavin' Flag," back in 2010, and now he follows it up with an equally supportive collection of songs in Country, God or the Girl. The new album focuses on the universal struggles and triumphs present in every relationship, giving every listener something with which to identify.

Lead single "Is Anybody Out There?" features Nelly Furtado, and picks up where "Wavin' Flag" left off, feeling again like an anthem for the masses. It sits alongside other powerful new tracks such as "Hurt Me Tomorrow," (produced by fellow ASCAPer Ryan Tedder) and "The Sound of My Breaking Heart."

We had the pleasure of having K'Naan as part of our Sundance ASCAP Music Café in 2011 where he talked about his music and gave an outstanding performance of "Wavin' Flag."

Country, God or the Girl was released on October 16th, 2012. Find out more about the album at http://www.knaanmusic.com.
