ASCAP Presents … at Bumbershoot 2003

The American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers (ASCAP) will present a number of events during the Seattle Arts Festival, Bumbershoot 2003, one of the biggest music and arts festivals of its kind. The festival takes place over Labor Day Weekend (Friday, August 29 – Monday, September 1) in Seattle, WA.

“Once again we’re looking forward to being part of this Seattle tradition,” says ASCAP VP of Membership Tom DeSavia. “As a first-time sponsor of Bumbershoot combined with our first-ever collaboration with EMP (Experience Music Project), ASCAP is hoping to not only build upon its existing relationships with the Seattle songwriting community, but to also reach a wider regional audience through its showcase and educational programs.”

ASCAP’s Board of Directors is made up solely of writers and publishers, elected by the membership.
