ASCAP Board member and Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF) inductee Valerie Simpson was interviewed by fellow ASCAP songwriter Phil Galdston at the SHOF Master Session at New York University on April 2nd. Simpson spoke and performed during the in-depth interview by Galdston, NYU Faculty Songwriter-in-Residence and Master Teacher in Songwriting. The event was a collaboration between SHOF and the Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions of the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture.
