Every January, tens of thousands of music trade exhibitors, buyers and musicians flock to Anaheim, CA for the annual National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Show, one of the largest music product trade shows in the world. New ASCAP member Thomas Starks was among the throngs at the 2011 edition, but he was no regular attendee -- he was there as an artist ambassador for BEHRINGER, the renowned pro-audio company that endorses him.
Born in Japan and now based in Seattle, Thomas was writing poetry as of age six, then fell in love with the mixture of words and music when he got his first guitar at age 13. A few years and a few garage bands later, he began writing his own songs. There's been no looking back since -- Thomas has played all over the west coast, and recorded two albums of his rootsy, largely acoustic folk/pop. His current album Burn the Attic is now available on iTunes.
