NICK ARIONDO'S "Kalamatiano for Viola & Accordian," "Duo for String-bass & Accordian," "Café Noir" for violin, viola, & accordian, and German lieder arranged for soprano, viola, and accordian at Biola University in Glendale, CA. Ariondo was recently featured in the Los Angeles Times and Beacon Media News.

JENNI BRANDON'S "Shiloh. A Requiem," the second movement from the larger work Misgivings for SATB choir, percussion, piano, and organ by the Dubuque Chorale at the Sacret Heart Chapel in Dubuque, IA on March 14 and at Clarke College in Galena, IL on March 15. Brandon's "Imperceptible" for soprano and piano and "The Sequoia Trio" for oboe, clarinet, and bassoon were featured at the Huntsville New Music Festival in the University of Alabama on March 5, and her "Sea Quartet" for oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and piano was performed at the 2009 Brand Library Music Series in Glendale, CA on March 29. The L.A. Musical Salon commissioned "Sea Quartet" for residency with the Vientos Trio during 2008-2009.

CHESTER CHAWN COOK'S "Walk Out The Door," co-written by Mike Paulk, at The Cactus Bar and Grill and Buckles Lounge in Amarillo, TX. Cook and Paulk at Detour Recordings and Area 51 Studios recorded the original track in October, 2008.

HENRY FLURRY'S music, including a premiere of song cycle for mezzo soprano, "Riding Past Grief," and "Three Poems of John Hall Wheelock" at the Prescott Fine Arts Association Theater in Prescott, AZ on March 14.

BABBIE GREEN'S music, presented by Lion and Lark Songs, performed by Green, John Boswell, and Julie Esposito at the Metropolitan Room in New York City on May 17 and 18. Selections include Babbie Green's "Stars Above Me (Anybody Out There)," "I Knew I'd Know," and "Twixt Heaven and Hell."

BRANDON HENDRIX'S Quintet for Winds by the Oklahoma City University Graduate Quintet at the Society of Composers, Inc. Region VI Conference at Oklahoma City University on February 28.

SEAN HICKEY'S works by Dmitry Kouzov at a benefit show at Gregory Singer Fine Violins in New York City on February 27. Among Hickey's works performed was his "Beara for Solo Cello."

ANTONIO J. JACOBS with the group Jazzique at The Arts Factory on February 21 and Fratelli's on February 28, both in Bayone, NJ. The performance included Jacobs's works "Time is Right," "Fish," and "All Men."

WILL JOY'S " The Monkey Underneath the Mistletoe" at Westminster Elementary and Magnet School in Venice, CA on December 15 and 17 by 1st grade students.

BENJAMIN JASON LEE at The Sanctuary Metaphysical Fair on November 15 in Bartlett, TN. The performance included Lee's works "Sacred Space," "All There Is," and "All in All."

STEPHEN LIAS' works "Sonata for Flute and Piano," "Central Park Suite," "Prince William Sound," "White Water," "Penance," "Vocalise," "Restless," and "Songs of a Sourdough" at various concerts all over the United States in recent months.

MUFFY will be performing at Atlanta's Make It or Break It TV Showcase on May 16 to defend her title as March's winner. The show will air on MTV2 this fall.

MIKE VON DER NAHMER'S "The Monk and the Fish" in a concert and forum about new music with composers Elliott Schwartz & Ed Cionek at the Bar Harbor Music Festival in Bar Harbor, Germany on July 15 & 16. "The Monk and the Fish" was released on the CD series "Masterworks of the New Era" Volume 13. In addition, Nahmer's pieces "Anatomy of Rhythm" for percussion duo and "Hip Hop for piano" were recently commissioned.

ALLEN SIMPSON'S musical Fellowship! (a musical parody of The Fellowship of the Ring) at the Falcon Theatre in Burbank, CA, on June 6 through 12. The music was featured as LA Weekly's 2005 Musical of the Year.

WILLIAM SUSMAN'S music presented by Lukas Ligeti at The Stone in New York City on March 17. Works included a live performance to film of Tribeca winner with the Ebony Strings and Demetrius Spaneas. Other performers of Susman's music included Tabor, Jacquelyn Familant, and Elaine Kwon. Susman's works "Moving in to an Empty Space" and "Duo Montu_o" for clarinet and piano were performed by The Sapphire Ensemble, featuring Soprano Jacquelyn Familant, at Ico Gallery in New York City on March 18. He also premiered "Zydeco Madness" in the Spring of 2009.
