Beyoncé Honored as Billboard's Woman of the Year

ASCAP member Beyoncé was honored with Billboard's Woman of the Year Award during their annual Women In Music luncheon, held at New York's Pierre Hotel on October 2, 2009. Also recognized at the event were two members of ASCAP's Board of Directors – songwriter Marilyn Bergman and publisher Kathy Spanberger, President of the Anglo American region, peermusic – who were among Billboard's list of Top 30 Power Players. The list recognizes female executives who drive the music business forward with vision, dedication and hard work.
